As one of only a handful of professional arts centers in California’s Central Valley, the Carnegie Arts Center is more than regional in its perspective, promoting the work of local artists as well as bringing in diverse creative views from throughout the state, nation and world. Exhibitions have included Ansel Adams: California, Edgar Degas: The Private Impressionist, Pablo Picasso’s Edition Ceramics, José Guadalupe Posada & the Mexican Penny Press, Childhood Classics: 100 Years of Children’s Book Illustration, and Nature, Tradition & Innovation: Contemporary Japanese Ceramics, as well as numerous regional artists of distinction, annual juried competitions, and youth art shows.

Monte Vista Crossings is considered one of the largest single-branded, open air shopping centers on the West Coast with over 1.4 million SF of retail and hospitality space.
Since development began in 2000, we have brought nationally known retailers such as Target, Lowes, Safeway, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Home Depot, Ross, Bed Bath and Beyond, Office Max, Old Navy, In n Out, JoAnn’s Fabrics, and many more to the City of Turlock.
University Art Gallery at Stanislaus State

The primary goal of the California State University, Stanislaus Art Gallery (UAG) is to artistically enhance, complement and supplement the academic programs of the Art Department, and to provide special opportunities to a broader audience. As the dominant force of artistic leadership in Stanislaus County and the six surrounding counties encompassing a one hundred mile radius, this goal is accomplished by producing exhibitions that become arenas for examination, discussion, and exploration of the forms, ideas, issues and rich tradition of the visual arts, while maintaining the foremost consideration of artistic expression and integrity.
Donnelly Park

Whether it is feeding the ducks at Donnelly Park or hosting a BBQ at Crane Park, Turlock boasts several offerings. Centrally located, Crane Park has been a community favorite for years as it offers tennis courts, ducks to feed, play equipment, swings, picnic tables, barbeques and a basketball court. Local families often enjoy their Sunday afternoons or host special parties to take advantage of the large, grassy spaces. Donnelly Park is another community go-to with its large pond and 40 acres that cover a square mile, making it a natural place to exercise and spend family time outdoors.
Dust Bowl Brewing

The spirit of Dust Bowl Brewing Co. was born decades ago thanks to one family’s unwavering passion for adventure and immeasurable dedication to one another. The tale begins back in the 1930s when the Tate family loaded their Model A and left Oklahoma for a journey that would prove fruitful for generations to come.
Dust Bowl Brewing Co. achieved Regional Brewery status in 2020, producing a record 16,500 barrels of beer for the year. In 2022, Dust Bowl produced 22,275 barrels and was named Brewery of the Year by the prestigious California State Fair Commercial Craft Beer Competition. Current distribution includes California, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, Pennsylvania, Vermont and Arizona. Plans are underway for a fourth taproom to open in Livermore, CA in summer 2023.
Turlock Community Theatre

The Theatre is currently home to the Turlock Community Concert Association series of performing artists, the Turlock Junior Miss Program, the Miss Stanislaus County Scholarship Program, and regularly hosts performances by the Modesto Symphony, the June McVey Dance Center, the Backstage Academy of Dance, and Fantazia Dance Productions, as well as events by the Assyrian American Civic Club, Emanuel Medical Center, Primerica Business Seminars, and many companies and church organizations throughout the region.
In April 2005, the 1000-seat Turlock Community Theatre entered its 7th year as a high-quality center of cultural enrichment, dedicated to supporting local arts and community organizations, bringing premiere entertainment and events to the stage, and ultimately enhancing the quality of life for all groups and ages in Stanislaus County and the Valley region
